Meet Karen and her husband Nigel, who have taken on a 30 Day Home Challenge, raising funds for us. They've embarked on 30 days of exercise, which during the lockdown, has proven really beneficial. Read below for Karen's thoughts on their experiences so far and our latest 30 Day Home Challenge updates.
Karen says;
"We are now day 13 of our 30 day challenge for Cardiomyopathy UK, and we have gone from hats and gloves to t-shirts and sunglasses! We saw our first bluebells yesterday on one of our routes: lovely to see new life especially during these strange times.
Doing this challenge definitely gives Nigel and I a direction and a focus to our day and benefits our wellbeing. We walk approximately 2 miles a day always from our house across local countryside."
Well done Karen, we look forward to hearing how the next half of your challenge goes!
30 Days Home Challenge Updates
Our Head of Fundraising Sheila is nearing the completion of her 30 Day Home Challenge. Similar to Karen and Nigel, Sheila has been pushing herself to do daily exercise and practice relaxation, plus healthy eating (you can read more in our previous blog post). Sheila has bravely decided if she reaches her new goal of £300 in donations by 19th April, she will do her last walk dressed as a rubber duck!
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we can't wait to see, so please donate and help Sheila to reach her goal of £300 if you can: Visit Sheila's Just Giving page here
