Jas and Elis's 2.6 Challenge

Last year superstar supporters Elis and Jasmine took part in the 2.6 challenge. By completing 26 burpees a day for 6 days, the pair raised an incredible £1800

We decided to do 26 burpees every day for around a week, recording them and putting a different outfit on for each one to keep it interesting! Our motivation was to raise vital funds for Cardiomyopathy UK during the uncertainty of the first lockdown.

We chose this challenge mainly because of the difficulty. We didn’t want to just do something like 26 star jumps or 2.6km walks and to be honest, we didn’t realise how hard 26 burpees in a row were! For us, most the important thing when it comes to fundraising is explaining what the charity does, how it affects you, why you’re doing what you’re doing, and educate people a little bit in the process!

Not only does this raise more awareness of the charity, but also makes space for more conversation around the subject area for those who may not have even heard of cardiomyopathy as a condition and may know someone who could benefit from the charities services.
