What is cardiomyopathy?
Cardiomyopathy is a general term for diseases of the heart muscle. It differs from other heart conditions as it is not caused by coronary vascular disease, hypertension, valvular or congenital heart disease. Symptoms of cardiomyopathy can sometimes be nonspecific and therefore be misdiagnosed leading to incorrect or delayed treatment.
